Actually, whoever pointed the news I appreciate it, because what comes on surface from Pakistan is very little compare to what really happens all over Pakistan in the name of religion. To know what is happening is important as then only we would realise and would do something to change the situation.
What is in the news is really disturbing and sickening. To ignore that by saying that such happens all over the world is wrong. Reality is that crimes do happen everywhere, but what is reported in this news does not happen anywhere in civilised world where such crimes could happen in the name of religion and then state machinery (Police) instead of persecuting perpetrator of crime, start persecuting victim and family of victim.
I am sure that whole Muslim world might start saying that this is unacceptable cruelty and persecution of Muslims if in west (or any non-Muslim country) 12 year old Muslim girl get kidnapped and group raped for weeks, then if by luck she escapes her tormentor and get to police with her parents, then tormentor start claiming that she is their wife and converted to Christianity, and hearing that police start persecuting the parents of that 12 year old girl on ground that they are interfering with a Christian married life.
Chordo bhai, yahan behes kerke kuch nahi milne wala. People really don't give a s*** here as long as it's not their daughter..

What happened is sickening..and anyone who uses religion to defend their animal behavior is definitely sick.
Having said that, crimes and atrocities like these happen everywhere. For a parent, child abuse in any form is bad be it for pseudo religious reasons or due to mental disorders. Also, Theorist, religion isn't bad. It's the people. Most criminals don't follow a particular religion.

3.Post it and make it sound like thats all that goes on in the country

Sad incident indeed but to be honest crazy things are happening everywhere these days.
Worrying thing is not crazy thing (or crazy crime) that happens all over the world irrespectively, but worrying thing is that such crime to happen in the name of religion and in response ‘police and people’ supporting or protecting perpetrator of such crazy crime, and persecuting victim of those crime, something that does not happen in any civilised society.

There is an unwritten code - if you are not say Pakistani, do not go out of your way to post an article with sole intent to trash the country. If OP is not Pakistani, the “Welcome to Pakistan” is out of order.
But statements such as “I seroiusly never understood the point of digging up crime news…and posting them on forums…”
and trying to soften the blow by statements such as these things happen everywhere are also out of order. Especially when a crime of this magnitude is committed.

I don’t think this kind of incidents happen any where in the world. I am a personal witness to a murder of an industrialist friend by one of the religious militant organizations, and police was just a by stander in the incident.. Culprits although clearly identified have never faced justice until this day.. and the militant organization continues to threaten the family to this day.. Members of the family do not visit the factory anymore and now are in the process of moving the factory…
Just tell me one other country where criminal gangsters work behind the facade of religious organizations.. terrorizing innocent people almost freely without any fear of law or prosecution..

I am sure we are all very concerned with the treatment of religious, ethnic or racial minorities in different countries, perhaps utd can bring some posts from... certain other country...and the human right violations there some day.
