Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) has alleged that a 12-year-old Christian girl was abducted and gang-raped for 8 months in Pakistan and was tortured until she consented to convert to Islam.
he victim, the daughter of a street sweeper, was kidnapped by two Muslim men a day before Christmas last year, when she was out shopping with a friend from her neighborhood. One of the abductors was introduced to the girl by her friend as her uncle.
The abductors drove her to a house located 120 miles from her house where she was raped. Her captives forced her to sign fake marriage documents with one of the perpetrators and beat her up when she refused to convert to Islam.
The AHRC has alleged that the police didn’t take any action to rescue the girl or arrest her kidnappers, because of their affiliation with a militant Muslim organization - the Lashkar-e-Tayyaba. The girl managed to escape after eight months of captivity, in the first week of September and called her parents to inform that she was hiding from her kidnappers.
The girl’s parents, however, were shocked when the police warned them to hand her back to the “legal husband” to avoid a criminal suit filed against them.
The rapists have filed a complaint against parents and have claimed that the girl was pregnant, due to which the Christian family had to go into hiding.
AHRC claims that the Pakistan provincial government is offering support to illegal militant organizations.
The British Pakistani Christian Association has launched a petition calling on the Pakistani government to investigate the attack.

'The girl’s parents travelled to the town and rescued her, before taking her to a local magistrate to give a statement. The rapists then contacted the police through their religious group and produced a marriage certificate that claimed to show one of them was married to the 12-year-old.
As a result of their complaint, the Christian family has gone into hiding as members of Lashkar-e-Tayyaba are searching for them.** The group claims the girl is pregnant, but her mother has denied this is true.**
The AHRC said that police never asked the religious group how a 12-year-old could be married. The legal age for marriage in Pakistan in 16.’

Do not blame the country if some of its rouge citizens do crime. Are you not aware that rape of minors is also reported in India. PPl who committed this are in fact defaming Islam. What they are practicing is not religion but anarchy.

This is so so sick. But this level of mental disorder cannot be attributed to Islam or Pakistan itself. WHY blame it on the country?
Last night I was listening to the news on radio 4. I heard at least about 2 murder stories of women in London (one in East London) and other somewhere else.
1 story about a 12 year old girl who got sexually exploited and gang raped at least for weeks before she had the courage to come out in open. Just half an hour of the news and I got so disturbed.
So should it be welcome to the UK where everything BAD goes on all the time? No! Because there are many many good people here with absolutely good morals and the same calls for Pak too.

This story is shameful almost worst than the killing of those 2 innocent boys in sialkot. If this incident is true i hope they hang the animals that committed such crimes!
I’d like to see you come back and actually use the forum for a “discussion” instead of just trolling like this.
While we all appreciate such attrocities being brought to the forefront so that people can learn however, such behaviour from your nick (i.e. posting crime stories and attributing them to a reflection of Pakistan’s social and moral fiber) is getting rather tiresome.

This incident is particularly heinous, and I think someone was bound to pick it up.
There are occasions where I read about something in India or someplace else that really gets me upset, and im tempted to post it. Although I usually dont, because at the end of the day its just another story.
Considering how despicable this crime was, im surprised more news outlets didnt pick up on it.
Personally don't know whether this is a good thing that it wasn't picked up, or just ignored because people have come to believe such things are common in Pak.

Actually, whoever pointed the news I appreciate it, because what comes on surface from Pakistan is very little compare to what really happens all over Pakistan in the name of religion. To know what is happening is important as then only we would realise and would do something to change the situation.
What is in the news is really disturbing and sickening. To ignore that by saying that such happens all over the world is wrong. Reality is that crimes do happen everywhere, but what is reported in this news does not happen anywhere in civilised world where such crimes could happen in the name of religion and then state machinery (Police) instead of persecuting perpetrator of crime, start persecuting victim and family of victim.
I am sure that whole Muslim world might start saying that this is unacceptable cruelty and persecution of Muslims if in west (or any non-Muslim country) 12 year old Muslim girl get kidnapped and group raped for weeks, then if by luck she escapes her tormentor and get to police with her parents, then tormentor start claiming that she is their wife and converted to Christianity, and hearing that police start persecuting the parents of that 12 year old girl on ground that they are interfering with a Christian married life.
