It is possible that some of them may be involved in supporting terrorism against Muslims of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
There are many brands of Islam, but no Islam teaches killing of people on the basis of beliefs. There was only one such group in the history of Islam which used to do that. And Muslims called them khawarij.
This is why these terrorists are neo-khawarij.
