So much about the poor Lebanese in the media, but let us not forget about what is happening in Iraq daily. Since this is mostly muslim on muslim violence, it does not get much coverage, but the victims are still dieing in a horrifying way.
Why should their deaths be any less tragic than other innocents? Where is the condemnation of the extremist muslims committing these acts?
^ Just like the American administration is totally oblivious to the suffering of the Lebanese people. Oh, I forgot they are helping them by sending more armaments to Israel on hourly basis to put these poor people out of their misery.
There are Qanas every day in Iraq. Markets, mosques, banks, restaraunts, hotels, hopsitals, funeral processions, etc are attacked and dozens killed on a daily basis. IF it is ever acknowledged it is in the context that the US is behind it.
Is a Muslim life only considered valuable when it is taken by a Jew? Is it because Arabs are believed to be God's chosen people so they cannot be blamed? Is it because war is a part of the Arab culture and as long as it's Muslims killing Muslims it's seen as normal course? Or is it just a case of head-in-the-sand syndrome? Seriously, what is it?

Aunty Seminole
Where did you read that Arabs are the chosen people of God?
Where did you read war is part of Arab culture?
Can you please provide me the reference and support to your comment?
Iraq is on the brink of civil war. I am sure that it is more than 100 people who die a day. Just the other day some kids playing soccer died when bombs exploded all around them. :(
Muslims urgently need to unite, and stay united, to put an end to this blood shed.
Every year tens of thousands of Americans die from Tobacco, Alcohol, Poor diet and so on yet the media hasn’t given these victims their fair share of coverage. On the other hand 9/11 which killed 4000 Americans (far less than any of the below causes of death) has received overwhelming attention from the media. Why should the deaths of thousands of Americans from Tobacco and Alcohol be less tragic than the 9/11 victims? Not a single day has passed when I did not hear or read the word 9/11 on radio, T.V or internet. Images of world trade center are being played again and again on T.V to this day. Every time some terrorist activity takes place anywhere around the world we are reminded of 9/11. Recently a new movie “United 93” was released and another “World Trade Center” is being released to honor the victims of 9/11. What makes the lives lost in 9/11 tragedy more valuable than thousands dying from Alcohol? Just compare the below numbers to 9/11 numbers.
Once again, avoiding the subject, but kudos for choosing this tactic. It was refreshing after all the other blame displacment, head-in-the-sand theories.
Unfortunately it does not in any way, shap or form address the issue. The Leabanese also die from many causes, that hasn't stopped the Muslim world from showing up in mass to protest the death of the relative few caused by Israeli actions.
Address the subject. Why isn't the same concern shown for the Qanas that happenevery day in Iraq or Sudan?

Why isn't the same concern shown for the 9/11s that happen every year in America? According to MSNBC in 2005 alone 75,000 people died from Alcohol abuse. Perhaps alcohol related deaths cannot to used to justify attacks on Afghanistan and Iraq but 9/11 deaths can be used to justify almost anything even wiping out whole villages! The same way Iraqis killing each other cannot be used to justify attack against Israel but Qana can be used to justify killings of Israeli citizens! I hope you get my point. It's all propoganda.
The only thing you are doing is validating the original poster's comment that the Muslims dying at the hands of other Muslims in Iraq hold no importance to you and their deaths are apparently less tragic than other innocents.
Unfortunately Iraq war has been resulting in killing so many civilians that this things has become a “norm”, people read title of news “… people killed in bombing in area” and say “again?” and they moved on to next news story because that news is not “new” anymore.
Aunty Seminole,
You wrote something, I asked for rerefence. This is not something out of context of the thread. My demand is based on what you write so it is very reasonable. Now please Aunty, tell us where did you read all that…
And there you have it. Not only does Muslim on Muslim violence kill thousands, but is it so completely invisible that most Muslims cannot even bring themselves to discuss it rationally. Diversions to American causes of death are far more amusing and interesting. A Muslim killed by Jews causes extreme level of emotions.
Muslims killing Muslims yields a collective yawn, and a moments pause from filing fingernails to say, "Muslims must Unite".
Face it Seminole, these guys don't rally care, and they are going to go stick their heads in the sand unitil you go away. Now who says Muslim blood is cheap?
