And now the next part of this thread:
Here are a few ways to ** burn** those 100 calories!

  • Swim a few laps of your favorite stroke (butterfly, back, or breast) for 10 minutes or less depending on the stroke.

  • Do 16 minutes of intense (read: sweaty and fairly grueling) aerobics.

  • Scuba dive for 14 minutes, 30 seconds.

  • Hit balls with a tennis partner for 13 minutes.

  • Run 1 mile at a moderate pace.

  • Pump the pedals of a stationary bike at a moderate pace for 20 minutes.

  • Skip rope for 10 minutes.

  • Hike the great outdoors with at least 15 pounds in your backpack for a heart-pumping 13 minutes, 30 seconds.

  • Snorkel in a pool, kicking at a moderate pace for 20 minutes.

  • Use a stairclimber for 17 minutes.

  • Ice skate for 12 minutes.

  • Walk uphill for 13 minutes

  • Spend 26 minutes hitting the shower and toweling off after all this exercise.

add to above list a cup of orange juice

^

A cup of OJ burns a 100 calories?

Put em all in a blender and make Shi No Shake :D

No Shino. A cup of OJ is worth a 100 calories. never imagined that till a friend told me about it and this is the "non concentrate" type OJ

^

Hmm, interesting!
SOmeone should find out how many calories freshly squeezed OJ is worth

oh dear i drink 1 liter of orange juice every day

what is with this food for the needy and deprived? My criteria for choosing a serving size is:

Pick biggest plate
Fill till food starts falling
Pile a bit more
Gulp down

Shinoo, have you been reading Asian Woman?

^

Shahreen, no actually it's AFM magazine.
Very similar to Asian Woman though!

:)

I get AFM too, I thought I had read that article somewhere but could only remember the name of Asian Woman. Good isn't it?

Shahreen,
Yes I love it! Too bad I can't get those magazines from Holland.
My sister saves them for me so every time I go to UK I take them with me :) All my friends want to borrow them, so right now half of the magazines are at friends places.

DOn't you just love all those gorgeous dresses!!

I know what you mean Shinoo. I just wish they were published monthy instead of quarterly.

its about the same as orange juice from concentrate. 1 250ml serving (about 1 glass) has just over 100 calories so if you drink a litre of the stuff every day thats increasing your calorie intake dramatically.

I used to be addicted to orange juice too, and used to drink way too much…now I dilute it down with mineral water - tastes exactly the same.
