Japan, by overextending itself, faced economic ruin by it's own maneuvering, however it's last ditch effort was bombing us. They had more options than those two, one being to pull back, but bombing us was the one they chose. Like the equally ruinous choice Hitler made invading Russia, it didn't work like they thought it would. Who's fault is that?
I certainly harbor no guilt for that era. And as for the winner writing history, that has been done since the beginning of time, so we certainly didn't invent that one.
Rather than hashing out a war that ended 60+/- years ago, try arguing this current one. That war was more straightforward, this one you have a lot more ammo considering all the bending and twisting this administration did to get it going.
