10-Year-Old Raped by Mullah; Family Considers Killing Her to Restore Their Honor

Re: 10-Year-Old Raped by Mullah; Family Considers Killing Her to Restore Their Honor

Yes you are basically saying lack of intermingling is a factor which should be blamed for these events. In earlier post you said that as well.

No. Lack of intermingling is not a factor here.

In fact intermingling of opposite gender certainly can lead to more opportunities and hence more rapes.
Only one example: Date Rape.

Yes you are not saying it directly but saying it indirectly.

**Nowhere in this case or anywhere religion was misused.
**
As I said authority figure can be anyone, like a teacher or an adult or older person in the family.

When a Christian Priest rapes an altar boy, is that misuse of religion too? Which text is misused there?

When a teacher rapes a student is that misuse of authority or the whole school system?

Answer clearly please.

My point throughout this thread was to leave religion aside since that is not even remotely a factor here. Why keep bringing it one way or other?

You could have stopped after first sentence. Right?

Why contradict after saying ‘but’?

In this case no punishment is given to the girl based on any religion. Period.

What circumstances are different? Please explain. It will be interesting to know your viewpoint there.

Can you back it up by any information the **red **part?

I do not like to throw statistics but you have made such a statement that I have to.

Do you know about 45% rapes are committed towards victims of age less than 18? (That is only about male to female rapes)

45% is not a small number.

And about 80% victims are of less than 30.

Again back it up with any information you might have.

Only about 3% of rapist ever see jail in west my friend.

You do need to get some education in this regard in my humble opinion.

The problem is way more serious than you think even outside SE Asia.

About 60% of rapes are not reported in places where it is not considered as stigma.

Yes there maybe more support groups and organization available outside SE Asia, and that does not mean the problem is not acknowledged.

There may not be organized efforts but relatives, friends and acquaintances with good hearts do come forward and help the victims which may not be highlighted in news.

In this case no one supported the rapist. He was caught. Does that make you feel any better?

Good. The video reeks of bias.
