Yes, i am one of those unfortunate people who are tortured by having extremely oily skin( heck, it gets OILY even during winterz ) which eventually leads to break-outs and more break-outs and even more break-outs!..had used everything right from besan, multani mitti face pack to clean n clear and neautrogena acne products but the only thing they did to my skin was dry it up..but this product like LAROCHE POSAY did WONDERS…it really does works like magic…was suggested by one of the beauty consultants at shoppers drugmart..they were sort of expensive, if you compare the products to other acne products, but the line helped clearing up my skin like magic…i use Effaklar foaming cleansing gel, The astringent lotion( it comes in a bottle and is blue in color) ,Effaklar A.I which you apply right where you have the zit, Effaklar K which is mosturizer and microexfoliant…but one has to not discontinue using it or you will get the acnes back..i did discontinue a while ago and got such a severe break out..so went to the store and bought the 4 products last week and they are almost all gone away…i strongly suggest these products to anybody who has the same problem as i do…trust me, they do wonders! my doc put me on accutane 2 times for 3 month each time but even that didn;t work…( now ammi is insisting me to go and ask doc to send me to a dermatologist so that this acne problem is treated properly!)

oh yes, i have red scars left from the acne..can anybody suggest any herbal remedy or any tried and tested product to fade them away?...
i went to Carylbaker visage with ammi for her regular facial and the lady there suggested me Vit. C serum for those scars...she said it immensely helps in getting these red marks fade away...i haven;t bought it yet because it's 85 bucks without tax...so i was skeptical about using 85 bucks on that tiny bottle of the serum..has anybody used this product??...does it work????

Im a bit skeptcial bout the products you are using.
Read the ingredients and tell me the quantity of Benzine in it.
It might give you quick results now but over the long run it'll make your skin so thin that in the old age you will have nothing but wrinkles.
So do check out the label.
As for acne, its not because of Oily skin as most ppl think.
Acne is because of your pores being clogged with dirt trapped under the skin.
If you follow a good cleansing, toning and moisturizing routine it'll help.
Your acne is probably gotten worse because of all these products you've used to dry skin out.
Over dried skin will result in your oil glands to overwork producing more Oil which will result in more clogged pores which in turn results in Acne.
See doing a bit of research on how your skin works helps in looking after it.
As for the scarring, cheap remedy, rub Lemon juice on your skin on a daily basis.
Expensive remedy go for peels.
Dermabrasion is Bull****.

PROACTIV is the way to go.....I have had a lot of friends who have used it...the esults r amazing...Im telling you , I have seen a lot of difference in their skin.You can also order it online...and it comes with 30 day money back warranty...so if it doesnt work.....u know what to do then....send it back...

^ You are so wrong.
Proactiv is nothing good for the skin.
Its got high levels of Benzine in it which might in some cases produce great results but it thins the skin out so much that users of Proactiv are prone to a very wrinkled skin in their early 30s.
And their skin loses its ability to heal scars.

Products wont do anything if you dont take good care of your skin in and out.
every skin is different, its not necessary whats good for me would be good for someone else.

hey..thanks for all the advises…Legally brown, i haven’t read out the ingredients in it but i was told that it’s a line made up by french dermatologists…they even have a website laroche-posay dot com
i have tried products that have benzene such as clean and clear and others but all they did to my skin was drying it out..it was literally flaky so i had to to discontinue using it…as far as the cleansing is concerned, i do cleanse, tone and mostirize my skin two times a day, once in the morning and then when i get home after work/scho0l…there are times when my skin is very clear but the other times, it’s all zitty ( if there is such word:confused: ), red and have roseacea which have puss in them…and they really hurt ..like until ast week, i couldn’t open up my mouth becuase of a bunch of acne on my left side of chin…i try my best to use the bestest products avilable but most of them have been useless…
my mother says it’s probaly because of my age ( but hey, i am not even teenager anymore, i am 21) or it could be because of the exam stress( last time i was having midterms when those frigging bunches of acne appeared)…she says i probably should go for cleansing facial but i am skeptical about it…

looks like you have underlying congestion which flares up from time to time.
You wont be able to get rid of that with your normal cleasning toning routine.
The congestion is lying under the skin with active bacteria, thats why it hurts so much.
Dont squeeze or rub the area as you will spread bacteria to the rest of the face.
You might need to get in touch with a skin specialist for a deep cleansing facial with extractions.
to get rid of the congestion.

ok ladies.. here's my two cents...
i love laRoche posaytoo.. ive used the foaming cleanser before, but now i got the gel! i just like it's minty/tea-bark-y kinda smell better
well i had these occassional breakouts too, rather hav them all the time...
i wud really not advice any of u to adopt these magic potions forever...
really most of u must've read, the MORE oil u try to pull out from ur skin, the more breakouts u get! cuz our skin's smart.. it knows oil's goin away so it generates MORE to counter that...
give it time, make it a habit.......u just HAVE TO drink 2 full bottles of water, wat i find best is keepin one of those 1-1.5 litres bottles of water arnd n i keep refilling it, like if im watchin tv.. it's in my hand n i just unconsciously keep on drinkin water.....
im tellingu, drinking water is the mOST MAGICAL effect u can get on ur skin!
and yeah, ive friends, who use effaclar and proactiv, n each time they stop using it their skin reacts n they break out crazy........
so
my ultimate advice, if ure comin back from school/work/party n uve makeup on, use a foaming cleanser of ur choice.. but at other tiems, stick with just water! canada aint polluted......ur pores CANT possibly be as clogged as u think!
