I wanted to share with you girls that I have been going to the zumba class everyday for the past 5 years. The results are unbelievably amazing so you should try it too. It has helped me so much with staying active and maintaing my shape!
If I was to gain weight, I’d only eat salads everyday and goto Zumba class. It has worked out pretty awesome for me.
Is there any of you currently attending zumba classes? How is it going for you?
I normally loose 1,000-1,500 calories during my workout session based on intensity.
Meh...I prefer to watch a movie/doc on me ipad whilst working out on the treadmill. Not into zumba. Plus I have two left feet and two right arms...I'd look anything but hot trying to coordinate my limbs for a Zumba dance sequence. So, running it is. :o
for some reason anything that doesn't show me how many calories i'm losing while i'm doing it, i usually lose interest in. I'm getting bored of my elliptical or actually i'm not feeling motivated on it like I did with my treadmill that I don't have anymore.
I tried the youtube dance videos but I just end up watching the lady dance rather than actually dancing along with her. If I had a Zumba dance class buddy then it would be a lot more motivating but noone around me is into dance.Which sux :---(
Bsb...if ur eating only salad and supposely loosing 1500 calories a day. That isnt healthy long term. You need carbs and enough healthy food to burn your energy . Are you really skinny or something??...I am just curious...

Eating only salads and losing that much calories is also unhealthy on the short term. If bombshellbaby has been following this routine daily for 5 years then she must be more than skinny, mr skeleton.

No I am not a fan of super skinny and bones. I am a fan of having a nice body!

Sometimes, it is 1,000 calories not always 1500. Nope, I am not super skinny but I do have a toned and shaped body!

There is a band you can wear on your wrist that calculates how much calories you have burned....
Hmm...BSB...just be careful and don't lose too much. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you need 1500-2000 calories each day? Don't burn iff most of them. I used to go running everyday as well as weights and crunches. I'd watch my calories and eat fruits and salad. I wasn't even fat to begin with, but I wanted to get toned. And I did get toned. Even my skin cleared up....but I looked weak and tired. So, it's better to give yourself a break and not overdo it.

I give myself a break from salads but I never miss any of the Zumba classes... I am not super skinny but burning those calories are important. This is one of the conditions from the guy who I am going to marry that I stay fit. He liked the attitude I posses about gym. Maybe, I am overdoing it but obesity is in my genes and I don't want to become fat.. LOL
Ok, I hope the guy won't overdo his expectations. I know it's important that spouses try to maintain their looks for each other, but there will be times when you won't look your prettiest or your fittest and I hope he'll be understanding of that. My cousin's husband told her that he wanted her to be the "best" out of the other wives with emphasis on fitness...especially a flat stomach. When I first heard that, I didn't get the best vibe about the guy. I hadn't even met him and I had a bad feeling. I told her he sounds controlling and at the time she said he wasn't. I turned out right later on. They have separated. But interestingly she was warned about him earlier by an acquaintance of his. I am not trying to scare you. Mutual attraction is important, but it's just one of the qualities that make a relationship; make sure that he likes you for more than just your looks.
Yes, we are very compatible in other aspects of life too... He is muscular so I expect the same from him... However, there are other things we considered not solely based on looks. He is very respectful towards me and understands me.
Going to the gym is a biggie even after the kids since he is able to provide me maids if house work or professional life gets in the way. I want to stay committed to my gym routine. I am overdoing it but so used it now.
