in his interview he says:
He gave an interview to Pakistani television over the weekend saying: "After meeting with [the] interior minister and getting assurance of my and my family's safety in Pakistan, I have decided to return home on 24 April. After getting this assurance there is no need for me to continue with my asylum application, which I will withdraw."
A few months ago when he had some hope of his asylum application going through when he was asked about returning to Pakistan as the govt had assured him protection he said that they cant even protect their own (Salman Taseer), how can they protect me? What has changed?

I think zulqy's perception of security was that of a grade schooler's feeling of threat from a bully and his mob. Rest were just statements.

Rehman Malik making phone calls for Zulqarnain…this guys wants to be part of the “in crowd” for everything…or he is trying to get the sports ministry job as well…

Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik presented another gift to former wicketkeeper of National Cricket Team Zulqarnain Haider in the form of restoration of his job in Zarai Taraqiati Bank.
As per details, Interior Minister Rehman Malik contacted President of Zarai Taraqiati Bank ZaKa Ashraf to restore former wicketkeeper of National Cricket Team Zulqarnain Haider’s job.
Expectations of Zulqarnain Haider’s return have been increased after Rehman Malik’s another gift of his job.
An official of Pakistan Cricket Board said that doors of International Cricket would remain shut until Zulqarnain Haider produces himself before PCB’s Integrity Committee. no surprise there…and I don’t see him going to PCB…lets see…

So, the “bhagorra” is back..
But any insane person would only believe on someone who had already fled and left his country in a very humiliating and tough spot. He decided to get help from people like Salman Taaseer and Rahman Malik just because he was facing all sorts of problem with his asylum business. So once again he’s trying to use or actually “maluse” his country. I dont believe a single sh!t he’s talking about or will do trying to justify what he did. To me he’s no different than those crooks who fix the matches and make money.
I have doubt that if time comes he’ll do it again.
And I’m just wondering if he thinks that Rahman Malik or his govt will be forever there to save his a$$.

LONDON: The former wicketkeeper Pakistan cricket team, Zulqarnain Haider, has deferred his plans to get back to Pakistan after, according to him; he received fresh life threats, Geo News reported Thursday.
Meanwhile, Zulqarnain has had his return-ticket cancelled too, sources told Geo News.
According to Jang Group’s correspondent based in London, expressing disagreement over the unsatisfactory security situation in Pakistan, former wicketkeeper said that he would no longer stand secured in Pakistan if he returns now as he has received fresh life threats.
He said he has postponed, for the time being, his intentions to get back to Pakistan.
It is worth mentioning here that Zulqarnain has re-filed application with British Home Office to seek asylum in UK and held meetings with London police, Scotland Yard.

BTW its getting boring now. pakistan should cancel his passport and force him to come back.
Also he can get family plan on his cellphone with akmals so those threats will be cheaper.
