Pakistan wicketkeeper [Zulqarnain Haider](http://www.cricinfo.com/ci/content/player/43860.html) has reportedly gone missing and did not arrive with the team at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium for the deciding ODI against South Africa.
PCB officials refused to comment on the matter or talk about the reasons for his non-arrival. But a cryptic message left as a status update on the player’s Facebook page said: “leaving pakistan cricket because get bad msg fr 1 man fr lose the match in last game.” A TV reporter for Geo, a leading Pakistani news channel, said that he had received a similar text message from Zulqarnain earlier on Monday.
Zulqarnain had hit the winning runs for Pakistan in the fourth ODI, which levelled the series against South Africa 2-2.

Guys this is something serious, somebody is giving him murder threats, yet no respond from the management. He is without his mother and his father was recently found on the hospital bed in an unconscious condition caused by disease. He could not just sit down and wait for the fixer's assault.

Quite possible the guy's getting serious threats .... Tchnically it's quite easy job to trace the call and also do a Voice comparison one the guy who called him uses a phone again but then we r talking about Pakistan
on a lighter note it could be K. Akmal :D
When u get threaten as a sportsman rep. ur country then something seriously is flawed.
It's not only Players or management but the whole Soceity and the System needs a revamp.

Is this team working for Geo news, trying to make headlines all the time?
Couldnt Intikab handle it a bit differently, instead of announcingto everyone that your wicketkeeper is missing, he could have said that they wanted to play an extrabtsman who can keep also like Umar Akmal and leave this bizzare thing for post matcg conference.

^^ He was sent back home from England, despite his spectacular fight against England in 2nd test... the reason to send him back was not good enough...
now again when he performed with the bat, he have been reported MISSING... again there was a great chance that Kamran Akmal would be missing the test series as Zulqi was better test batsmen ( keeping in view the bad form of K Akmal)... this would only benefit Kamran Akmal and PCB would have him back in the team... not good news at all... we all know the dubious character of Akmal brothers... and Akmal do have some shady contacts ... Mazhar majeed kind of guys comes to mind...

^ on a serious note, this is really creepy stuff, you dont just go missing and not expect their to be headlines???? the plot thickens....i would hate to be in any cricketers shoes right now, hardly what you might call job security is it?

We don’t have any professional person in PCB. Nobody knows what to do and now its useless to discussed those weird characters
