Re: Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s letter to Iskander Mirza

It is not anything special ,
It was a letter from a youngman trying in field of foreign diplomacy to the president of the country , Just according to traditions of those days .
ARCHIVES: Bhutto’s letter to Mirza

I would not say its nothing. It shows an individuals pattern of thinking etc. definitely an insight into a personality.

Re: Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s letter to Iskander Mirza

Runs in line with your standard dialogues regarding ZAB.

  • He worked under a dictator because it was a need of the hour.
  • He imposed martial law because it was need of the hour.
  • He killed opponents because it was/is a PPP tradition.
  • He nationalized firms because he needed money.
  • He politicized the army because it was need of the hour.
  • He licked Iskander Mirzas feet because it was tradition.

Re: Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's letter to Iskander Mirza

I just saw Imran Khan in a Tv program praising Bhtto
CNBC
I am not surprise on your post , You can do this .

Re: Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s letter to Iskander Mirza

Imran Khan again :smack: You simply cannot do without him.
Have you ever thought about how indispensable he is for you? :@:

Re: Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's letter to Iskander Mirza

Those were the times of dictatorships. There is really nothing to be judged on due to culture prevailed during those times. All Pakistanis were subjected to very limited form of democracy, one dictator took over from anther dictator was the norm. Bhutto was an employee of establishment rather than representing a political figure. He was employed to that position purely on merit, his education and his expertise nothing else. There is nothing wrong with the letter just showing an assurance to employer and a family friend.

[quote]
Bhutto was just thirty year old and rather young for such an appointment. It was thought that he was chosen due to his extraordinary intelligence, brilliant credentials as a lawyer and boon companionship with President Mirza, strengthened by their hunting expeditions on Bhutto's family lands in Larkana, Sindh.

Another brain fart.

Re: Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s letter to Iskander Mirza

Well, I am neither a big critic nor a huge fan of Bhutto. But my feeling is that any 30-year-old debutant might not be doing it very differently. I would see it as an amusing stuff and that’s it.

Sachaydino

I am neither blaming him of anything nor lauding him. I stand by my point that it provides an insight into an individuals thought process. The consideration of keeping the circumstances and times goes without saying for this letter as it is with any letters or statements by anyone. Nothing unique in this case.

Re: Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s letter to Iskander Mirza

Because we know each other now .
You and others Nirralas are just trying against the great leader in response of criticism oh Ik .
It is simple .

Re: Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's letter to Iskander Mirza

^ Did you see post#10? :@:

Re: Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's letter to Iskander Mirza

Thank you for the post . I am convinced .
I repeat that if you see wisely N$ now never criticize Bhutto and Benazir
Imran is a step ahead . He praises Bhutto and don't say a word against Benazir .
The both criticize Zardari

Re: Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's letter to Iskander Mirza

Reason for that is common decency, where you dont speak ill of the dead. It doesnt mean that IK or NS think that ZAB or BB were any good.

Re: Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s letter to Iskander Mirza

Becuase Imran and his ‘Nirale’ call a spade a spade, unlike Jiyalas and Noonese :hehe:

Re: Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's letter to Iskander Mirza

Have you gone in their heads to find this out?
