This is an emotionally charged pointless point raised by Ayub Khan in his diary...even Gen Zia who put an end to Zulifiqar could have claimed 'Indian' citizenship for property claims. He was also a citizen of what was united 'India' having been born and grown up in Jullunder. Property claims had nothing to do with claiming nationality, it only concerned people's properties and area of residence etc prior to partition. Heck even Ayub Khan was an 'Indian' before partition. Of course when there was no Pakistan everywhere was just India, regardless of where Bombay, Junagarh, Jullender may lie after partition as compared to where Haripur or Rehana (FM Ayub's village) ended up lying after partition.
