It's reasons are somewhat similar to wanting to return to where a certain religion originated.
Like Muslims wanting to return to Mecca Mukkarma
If all Muslims went back there, it will be hard to accomodate us all!

Since when is ridiculing others' opinion and different views a sign of intellect or knowledge? If anything it's arrogance and a sign of sheer ignorance.
Zionism was, is, and continues to be a fascist movement. Its very doctrine was constructed by European Jewish Bankers who have not only always funded both sides of the wars that have taken place, and reaped profits, but aim to establish a one World Govt. IMF and UN are only stepping stones. UN was established after the second world war, and constructed in a way that it would only serve the best interest of the World elites (and they come in all sizes, and colors).
Think of Rothschild, Rockefeller, and other fat cats and their links are very much connected back to the days of Hilter where they very willingly financed his fantasies of a supreme aryan race. In effect, European Jews (read Zionists) funded the massacre of their poor brethren for the sake of world dominance and establishment of Isreal (Zionism's gift to the world).
Please learn your facts instead of shooting off smart allec'd remarks which only display foolishness.

And i'm not confused, i don't believe that practicing Jews support or believe in Zionism. The very principle of Zionism is against Judaism, hence a score of Jewish Activist groups that are against Zionism as an ideology, and creation of Israel as a nation.
Neturei Karta is one such organization consisting of Orthodox Jewish Rabbis that feverously oppose the creation of Israel, and often march against Zionism.
