Zimbabwe

Re: Zimbabwe

The court decided against having the results made known :(

Mbeki's days are numbered but Zuma might be worse. Zuma is a populist, i.e. he sets his sails to the wind blowing the strongest, not necessary the correct direction. I was glad he could break Mbeki's stranglehold over the ANC but hope that someone else could take over from Zuma due to legal problems. Zuma is also much closer to the communists than Mbeki.

The best man for the job is Trevor Manuel (Finance Minister and probable future World Bank chief) but unfortunately South Africa is still not ready for a white President. Does say something about the racial tensions in the country when a man is debarred from being President because of his skin colour and not capabilities.

Re: Zimbabwe

it is exactly because of the tribal /clan mentality somalia is in a crisis and the rest of africa. It's the 21st century, tribes and clan wafare and tension have no place, it about time people recognized themselves as a nation of people and look after each other instead of butchering each other because of wrong tribe/clan. Some of these clans are based on who was grandpa 9 generations ago. If you count nine generations ago you would have 256 male antescendants in the family tree. Tribal mentality but be eliminated with a strong, democratic goverment without Islam or other faiths governing a state. Absolute, secular and democratic goverments with a strong emphasis on patriotism on citizenship . As it is the strife within spills into neighboring countries and you have tribes running loose in another country causing chaos there also. not too mention the problems with refugees-----------------

Re: Zimbabwe

Oh , I am quite familiar with Thatcher’s boy and i do not wear rose tinted glassess when I read, adnan kashoogi made his money via this method also. I was countering who what and wear , but you seem to defend my intial post of BCCI and i wanted you to be clear how deeply invovled they were.

Zuma is the best for south africa? wasn’t he the rapist who got off? and is still getting off?

Re: Zimbabwe

I wrote that Zuma was the best person to get rid of Mbeki who did not want to relinguish power (same as in all Africa). Zuma is not the best person to lead South Africa though.

Zuma was cleared from the rape charge by a respectable high court judge. Presently the history will reflect that Zuma had sex with a HIV-positive daughter of a dead friend who considered him as a stand-in father.

Some VERY contentious issues came to out in the court case:

  1. According to Zuma it is a Zulu culture that a man can't ignore a woman when she wear certain provacative clothing and clearly is in the "heat" of romance.

  2. Zuma testified that he had a shower directly after having sex to minimise the risk of getting Aids from the woman. This is the reason he is nowadays always portrayed with a showerhead on his head in cartoons.

The Chinese involvement in Africa started in 2001. From 1950 to 2000, it was all Western companies. Secondly India, Pakistan and China do not have the money to fund these wars and dictators.

...and then the Chinese proves above statement to be wrong!

...and the stupid South African government of the idiot Thabo "there is no crisis in Zimbabwe" Mbeki wants to let the cargo through ASAP.

It is so easy to stall with red tape a cargo like this while putting pressure on Mugabe to accept defeat.

According to a news report the cargo includes ±3mil AK-47 rounds, 3500 mortars and 1500 RPG's. Once this land in Zimbabwe, the poor people who voted against Mugabe will have had it. Wonder with what Mugabe paid for it....maybe with ore???

China proving yet again that they do support war and dictators. As if anyone in Zimbabwe could forget that it was Chinese soldiers that massacred their fellow countrymen (about 60 000) just after Mugabe came to power.
