this does not distort history. all it does is punish the worst ruler that this country ever had for his misdeeds.

if this distorts history, then no one should ever be punished. why court martial people? why fire people? because you want to punish them and the record will show that they were punished and hence, removed from their ranks and their privileges taken away.

history will show that Zia was an army chief, who murdered an elected prime minister, became a dictator, elected himself as president… and eventually was stripped of his status as a president. nothing wrong with that. history will show that he WAS a president at one time but was stripped of this because he was a usurper. and needed to be punished. excellent step!

people who don’t remember their past are doomed to repeat it. Zia was killed and went to hell but he was still celebrated by some morons. well guess what a decade later, Musharraf took over 'cause all he remembered was Zia becoming a “shaheed” after selling the country for three kilograms of heroin, one Kalashnikov and two and a half dollars. why wouldn’t one want to impose martial law and get so much wah wah…

now, strip Zia of his presidential title and hang Musharraf… and we will see which mai ka laal tries to impose martial law ever again.

Like I said. Its the PPP.

   So be it if it satisfies your ego. PPP was majority elected party then; it is majority elected party now and hence ruling. You can not ignore the wishes of majority Pakistanis. That evil person not only abrogate the 1973 constitution approved by people of Pakistan but also murdered the most popular PM among masses. The damage he caused to the country is almost   irreparable. For his all evil deeds and actions, he should burn in hell for ever.

This kind of pray for murderer of Hazrat Imam Hussain grand son of Prophet Muhammad PBUH is quite surprising. Being Sunni, I am ashamed of such kind sentiments coming from most probably a Sunni person.

Abdhullah Bin Ubai was condemned in Holy Quraan for his hipocracy, dishonesty and disgracing wife of Prophet Mohammad PBUH, I don't know how Allah will forgive these cursed persons. NEVER.

Not ego reality. They are targeting Zia because it makes good politics for their party workers. But has no real impact on the people of Pakistan. Its idiotic to consider this a major victory when:

1. Our Debt is 50 billion dollars. Out of which we gained close to 14 billion during the PPP government.
2. Inflation is rampant.
3. Lack of power.
4. Lack of water
5. Lack of gas
6. Unexplainable increase in petrol and diesel prices

etc.

I still remember reading a office order that some newspaper published few years back that read something like this at Zia's re-appointment as pres: " I Gen Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, President, Islamic Republic of Pakistan is pleased to appoint Gen Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, as preseident of Islamic Republic of Pakistan for next 5 years"
