General Zia driving round Islamabad came across long queues of Pakistanis outside several embassies wanting visas and entry permits to go abroad.
He got out of his car and joined a line to find out why so many people wanted to leave the country.
No sooner did people see their President with them they left the queue to return to their homes.
President Zia asked them why they were doing so. They replied: “If you are leaving Pakistan there is no need for us to go.”

This reminds me of one of the wall cartoons that appeared in Islamabad in 80's ,which depicted Zia and actress sridevi hugging each other.

Or change the central character. The "joke" can still work with a living person too.

This was a real Order from Zia -ul -Haq - not a joke that he wrote for his re-appointment as President of Pakistan.. " I General Mohammad Zia-Ul-Haq is pleased to appoint General Mohammad Zia-Ul-Haq as President of pakistan for next 5 years"

Gen musharraf ney kaha kiya koom islam chati hay ?sab ney kaha yes ! Gen musharraf said this means ,people of pakistan voted for me to stay on as president of pakistan for ever ?
