Princess, there are two ways I make zeera rice ... Posting both recipes here for you:
Zeera Rice - Method One:
- heat two tablespoons of oil. when really hot, crush one teaspoon of zeera seeds and add to the oil, add one more tsp of non crused zeera seeds and stir until it starts to sizzle , ... dont burn them .. this shouldnt take you more then 10 seconds ...
- Add water and when it starts to boil, add the rice ... when the rice are done, drain the rice in a strainer .. your zeera rice are done.
Zeera Rice - Method 2
heat some oil, add two tsp of zeera seeds until they sizzle. Add one tsp salt to the oil. then add thinly slices onion into the oil.
when the onions start browning, add half a cup of water and cover the pot. Then add the water and the rice and let it all cook.
Zeera rice is done.

thanks CB...your first method is very easy ..for 2nd one , i want to ask how long do you cover the pot when you add half cup water and
how much water do you add for the rice... I am asking for the method 2

Princess , If you are cooking two cups of rice , add 4 cups of water. and cook it on low heat , covered .. stir only once or twice so the rice wont break up.
