You all know who Zaid Hamid is.
The term Zauq-e-Khudai is unique, and especially unique to those who are well-versed in the dynamics of the Urdu language, and have followed Allama Iqbal closely. Zauq-e-Khudai is a rush of dedication all shrunk into 1 three part word, but to put it in lame terms it literally translates into “For the love of God”. And naming this series “For the love of God” is quite interesting, and very relevant considering the fact that every soldier of Pakistani Army vows to defend not only the homeland, but the integrity of Islam while in the battlefield all for the love of God. This series of battles that has been ongoing in the past 2+years within Pakistan is nothing short of targetting enemies of Islam who are wovles in sheeps’ clothing, who prey on innocent and naive minds and use them to prey on the population of countless other muslims, and they achieve this through the means of sheer indiscriminatory terror that targets all children, women, elderly, innocent, and tainted souls.
Every time Pakistani soldiers aim and shoot, they do so with the belief that their lives are at stake for the sake of God. They aim for “Zauq-e-Khudai”.
As we all commemorate the Grand festival of eid that symbolizes sacrificing the most precious things in our lives (as was the case with Prophet Ibrahim AS), let us also join hands in praying for the soldiers (both armed and unarmed, both in uniform and civilian clothes) of Pakistan who defend the nation day and night, and do so tirelessly for the sake of God. Let us remember their sacrifices because they’re also some father’s Ismaeels, some mothers’ prides, and father-like figures to some brothers.
Let us not forge their sacrifices. Let us not forget who we are, where we belong, where we come from, and lastly but most importantly where we’re headed. Islam is Peace, and our soldiers fight day and night to protect that message from those who aim to taint the good name of this beautiful religion.

May Allah (swt) bless Pakistan with countless victories against all its enemies (both internal and external), and make it an eternal punisher for those who seek to defame Islam globally. May Allah (swt) the Armed Forces of Pakistan, its sovereignty and integrity from all threats of today, tomorrow, and beyond.
