It basically depends upon the charge and how much money you can throw in. I knew one person in Karachi, who was jailed because of property fraud, and was right next to zardari, in the first class jail. When he got out he said it was pretty nice over there. His wife complained that she had to send in food for 20 people (from her husband to the jailer) every day though. In the other jails, I think they have designated visiting hours, again the bribes probably pay a big role here.

I don't think Zardari was involved in "hundreds" of murders. There are rumors that he was involved in the murder of another Sindhi ie. BB's brother. I believe BB was PM back then so no one found the murderer.
However Zardari's claim to fame is him being Mr. 10% for his hand in bribery. Sadiqaan! there won't be any proof against Zardari. People at his level do not leave a trail.
Bhutto family has used Sindh and Punjab all along. These are the two states that supported ZAB, and later BB. Unfortunately the terrible economic policies of ZAB, and then BB most destroyed Sindh and Punjab.
I think BB and Zardari should retire (Nawaz too) from active politics. They had 2 chances each. It is time to move on and pass the leadership to junior members in the parties. BB and NS should work on establishing schools and hospitals in rural areas of Pakistan.
