Not really, he’s just another soft plush toy. 
Ask most Indians and they will say they dislike him, he’s their version of Yousuf Raza, save for the fact that he does not indulge in corruption, or at least corruption at our peon’s scale. But the real monarch of India is Sonia Gandhi, and her croonies. The reason that they are behind, and don’t come forward does not undermine this fact in any way, shape or form.
Corruption in India is massive, just like most other things, but that’s a given, they are ahead of Pakistanis in all front’s - except one.
