Re: Zardari - The most hated person in Pakistan !!
^ I just dont understand why this Zardari phobia - he did a remarable job by delegating all powers to elected assmbly - still he is haunting PPP haters!!!he has nothing to do with establishment or running of govt. he is not a leader and just a symbolic PPP leader as all members of assembly report to PM... a;; decisions including appointment of C&C, Nuclear command etc. are now taken by PM..
I just realised Namaan is the mod here :D has Gupshup has gone so low that now a mod is rediculing and calling leach Chairman of the largest party of Pakistan? why cant mods hold their personal hatred! instead of issues they are hitting persons now.. shameful act..
Namaan is a mod and also a guppy here as GS and as any one of those positions he has a right to state his opinion just as you do. Just because he has a mod title does not in any way mean that he is not entitled to have an opinion and not put it forth when something is blatantly wrong.
There is a democratic way of doing that rather thab ur personal whims.. majority want him president so wait..
Democracy is not Gods gift to man!
And when the majority of Pakistan want this guy out how is that undemocratic... would you like a GS poll on the matter? :p
when did majority of pakuistan say they want him out - r u drunk or day dreaming.. there is a way written in our constitution about his removal.. gupshup is no forum to decide that not even polls held in Lahore or any cities..
Democracy is not a god gift to man. I am guessing all who are discussing here are muslims and no where in our scriptures is democracy depicted as a gift of god. In Pakistan, however, we like to think of whatever retarded form of democracy we have, a gift from god. It is said that majority of Pakistan elected PPP to come into power. I used the word said because selling and buying of votes is always a popular issue in our political system. Zardari, on the other hand, was never elected to any position. PPP was elected to be teh ruling party, zardari himself was not elected as a preseident or even a party elader.
Majority of Pakistanis never said they want him in either. There are no polls done that suggest people want him or do not want him. However, all the popular media outlets suggest that people are unhappy with how things are going and how he is doing things. You are right in saying that there is a legal way in removing him from his post but we all know how retarded and complicated that route is, especially with PPP having a majority pretty much in all houses. Second option is the military takeover and we all know how many issues people had with that even though that was the first time in our history that we had some money in foreign deposits
What youve just said is entirely contradictory to democracy...
I suggest you read up on the shocking history of democracy before ever using that term... never mind the constitution.
When did majority of Pakistan say they want him in...?
He only got in on a sympathy vote cos of his wifes assasination...
A leader is judged by his people...
If the majority of people hate him then he should be thrown down the stairs... this applies for all nations not just Pakistan.
As for those who defend Zardari give me some hard evidence that there is any good in this man and i might buy it but i am not going to follow any man blindly....
For knowledge sake :
Vast majority of members of assemly chose Zardari as President of Pakistan and thats the only way a person can become president in pakistan's constitution - unlike USA constitution where a president is directly elected..
There is no measurement or indicatorof how many people hate a person.. and a president can only be thrown out by impeachment..
It doesnt matter if Zardari has any good thing or not as its not a qualification to be president.. there is a clear process and he has gone thru it..
Re: Zardari - The most hated person in Pakistan !!
I think probably the whole of Lahore hates him, including ME. I HATE YOU ZARDARI! Go die in your French chateux, may you not rest in peace!

For arguments sake, if its my Abbu ji is running a corporate company and knows all the directors and forces them to elect me as the chief operating officer it does not mean tht I am capable of running the freakin corporation. Although, I have followed teh clear process it does not mean a fair result at the end if the process is rigged.
This is exactly what had happend with his election and how he became the president by overpowering his opponents either by bribing them or through other measures. Which political party in the whole wide world picks a leader based on legacy instead of actual marits. He has documented psychological issues and if you require I can probably pull them off with a simple google search and you still support him to be the president. Where is the god given democratic right to elect when he appointed himself to be the party leader and his son to be the next one after him.

I am in gupshup for more than 10 years and know how mods behave and rationalize discussions.. he definetely has right to have his say in issues but if hes going to call leader of a party as leech then hes offending me .. if a mod abuses he has to check forum rules such as :
Re: Zardari - The most hated person in Pakistan !!
I don't really care, people are deluded if they support Zardari or PPP. No offence to you. My freedom to express my opinion. I have talked to a lot of people and gone to a lot of villages etc, and all have the same opinion. ZARDARI TATTHEY KHU.
Re: Zardari - The most hated person in Pakistan !!
@Degas; I hope so you can read English well.. here its being talked about PUBLIC HATE not the PERSONAL HATE.
Further more lets assume Namaan didnt write it.. It was me.. will that change the facts?

Because he got these powers very Cleverly
Secondly he was badly failing in retaining them

Thats fair enough - u and many u meet have full right to their opinion..
imo, Zardari's character assassination is one of the most successful smear campaigns the world has ever seen. I'm not saying that he is an angel. he clearly isn't. but the way politicians (not just Zardari) were publicly ridiculed and humiliated in the 90s is something to behold. the names of Zardari, BB and NS were made synonymous with corruption to the point where now when the public even subconsciously links corruption with Zardari/politicans. even if you ask an ABCD kid who knows nothing about Pakistan... he/she will know that Zardari is not only corrupt but the devil himself. I remember growing up in the 90s and the kind of stories that were circulated about BB were absolutely fantastical and ridiculous. a couple of years ago, I ran into a Karachiite who said that BB (a mother of 3) made money by selling the organs of kids in Karachi. a national leader, chairman of the largest political party in the country (that stands for human rights and freedom) and a mother 3 was making money by selling the organs of kids. wow... and I won't even get into how all the newspapers established that she was a traitor to the country and a security hazard etc. well in the end, she was the one who came back to the country despite threats and gave her life bravely for the country. not like our rangeen mizaaj commando Musharraf who ran away licking his own balls. these hermaphrodite generals wish they had the courage, bravery, integrity and self respect of Bhutto, BB, Mian Iftikhar Hussain, the Bilours, etc.
if you think about Zardari, the way he is hated you would think he was Mir Jaffar and Mir Sadiq in one... it's like everything calamity that befell Pakistan was directly due to him. so, lets see. did he break the country? no, the generals did that. did he start Kargil that resulted in international humiliation for the country? no, the generals did that. did Zardari drag us into terrorism mess and make us a poodle of the US all over again? no, the generals did that. did Zardari murder a prime minister of this country? no, the generals did that. did Zardari send a twice elected prime minister of the country into exile by manufacturing false cases? no, the generals did that. did Zardari give not so veiled threats to BB about the need for her cooperation in exchange for her life? no, one of the generals did that. did Zardari order Hammad Raza murdered? no, the generals did that. did Zardari protect the rapists of Dr. Shazia in Balochistan? no, the generals did that. did Zardari order Baloch men and women be picked up and confined illegally? no, the generals did that.
really makes you think about the fact that the Pak generals might not be very successful in their day jobs... but if there is one thing it knows, it is how to play politicians like violins. all its takes is a well timed nudge to the editor of some third class paper like Jang/The News or some journalist for hire like Ansar Abbasi, etc and you can get them to write for or against anyone.
similarly, the Pakistani press ought to be embarrassed of how it has conducted itself over the years and how it plays into the hands of the establishment. when the winds change, so does the slant of our newspapers. for example, just read the bakwaas they write every time a general is being promoted. they write about Kayani as if he is the second coming of Alexander the great. these people have no conscience... they are for rent. pay them enough and they will two opposite things in the same day on the same channel. just look at daaaktar Shahid Mossad. the man is an amoeba. will crawl into any hole and assume its shape.
and lastly, our politicians need to stop being so naive. when you get accused of something, don't just ignore it and pretend that you're taking the high road... take the idiot to court where either you are convicted or the "journalist" is. you can't have it both ways.

facts may not change but there is always a way to put forward issues.. if u start ur topic like a scum - then it matters

I think discussing about scum and yet starting a thread in a very nice manner is what Namaan should do.. He should start with more better way (may be with a slang or worst). You can NOT change the reality by praising something that is as bad as scum. :D
