ISLAMABAD: Though belatedly, President Asif Ali Zardari has gone hi-tech, and is now keeping in his pocket a BlackBerry phone in place of a simple old-fashioned cellular set, precisely as Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif is doing for over five years.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif too uses the latest mobile phone like Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
“Zardari responds to every message that he receives after he started using the BlackBerry set,” a frequent visitor of the presidency said.
Before that, he said, the president used to have an old model mobile phone. “He got the BlackBerry set after being persuaded by some of his personal friends and aides that the gadget is now needed.”
Since the ‘business’ is booming in leaps and bounds, BB was a must for a long time. I hope he regularly receives and forwards SMS jokes about his own self
In the times of iPhone 5 emergence and Samsung S3 giving tough time to the competition and Samsung heaven about to shock everyone, why is he showing off his plastic toys in front of these rolls royces?
I know many would have already heard this, but I couldn't help myself.
Bilawal to Zardari: Abboo kitnay afsose kee baat hay aur hum kitnay miskeen hain kay meri ammi ke qatil abhi tak nahin pakray gai.
Zardari to Bilawal: Baytaa shukur karo kay tumhaari ammi ke qatil abhi tak nahin pakray gai verna tum miskeen ke saath yateem bhee ho jao gay.
1) This is the first ever (pioneer?) president of a country who has acquired a cell phone?
2) This will result in an exponential improvement in public service to the pakistani awam, so it had to appear as major news all over the media
3) This was one of his childhood fantasies "Main baRa ho kar mobile phone khareedon ga"
It's not being old school it's all about security. BB is the most secure phone hands down.
i wonder how blue book allows the use of BB by President given the BB messenger servers are directly controlled by RIM the parent company. Definitely a national security risk. The device can be remotely listen, track location and else.
