Zardari Gives 5 Million to “Cyber Kid” (youngest MCTS)

President Asif Ali Zardari invited Cyber Kid (Babar Iqbal), the world’s youngest IT Professional, to the Presidency on 5 august 2009, and gave away a cheque of Rs5 million for his achievement in grabbing four world records in the fields of computer and information technology.
He holds records as Youngest Microsoft Certified Professional, Certified Internet Web Professional, Certified Wireless Network Administrator, and the Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist in the world.
The President appreciated Babar Iqbal for his professional expertise attained at such a young age, adding the country’s youth had ample potential to flourish.
President Zardari said that:
“The nation has high hopes from young generation, who are capable of bringing laurels to the country in all fields of excellence.”


Babar Iqbal becomes pride for the country as he has achieved the distinction of being the ‘youngest Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist ( MCTS)’. He made this world record by obtaining 91% marks in MCTS exam at the age of 12, the exam was held in Dubai. In 2006 Babar became world’s youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) by securing 87% marks, at that time he was only 9 years and 27 days old.

The 12 year old kid belongs to D.I. Khan, a city situated in the North-West Frontier Province of Pakistan. His family enjoys the distinction of having five Microsoft Certified Professionals including Babar, his brothers Asif Iqbal and Kashif Iqbal and sisters Asifa Khan and Saima Khan. Asifa achieved her MCP status at the age of 11 years and 4 months. Both of his brothers and a sister are working in the field of Information Technology but Babar has more to cheer about as he has a list of records under his name. He enjoys the status of being

• World’s youngest Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA)
• World’s youngest Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)

Babar is currently working as Microsoft technical co-coordinator in the United Arab Emirates, giving technical support to university students in the U.A.E. Besides this, he is also working on Microsoft’s new technology named, Microsoft surface technology. It is a multi touch table. He is also working on Microsoft studio which is related to X-BOX 360 and Windows gaming development.

Babar considers his success as the result of continous help and support provided to him by his family specially his elder brother Asif. He considers Asif as his teacher, best friend and a source of inspiration.
