As a holder of the Hilal-e-Pakistan I feel insulted to see this high national honor being bestowed on American Richard Boucher who has done nothing for Pakistan except pressurize and harass the state into submitting to US policies which have resulted in the death of thousands of innocent Pakistanis as well as destruction of the FATA province.
The murderous policies of the Bush Administration which Boucher has represented with excessive zeal in Pakistan certainly do not merit any award from the Pakistani state. As a result of this subservient approach by the Zardari government, those who have truly deserved the high national award, Hilal-e-Pakistan, have seen this award degraded and reduced to a meaningless form of appeasement to an oppressive US Administration and its loyal representative Boucher. Instead of national pride, we can only feel a national shame in being holders of the same award as Richard Boucher.

I think Boucher got the award for allowing BB and Zardari to return to Pakistan.
