The statement was released by PPP media cell, the party should investigate the source and fire him from party.

I don't know about that. But if he said that it is better for him to seek medical treatment. Real politicians should not recommend extensions for generals who are being retired.

Dirty politicians trying to unnecessarily politicise the issue in order to score some brownie points themselves. PPP desperately trying to gain relevance.
Raheel is a professional soldier, a thorough gentleman and a true patriot. He will not fall for such trash and will not accept any extension.
But we do need clean, sincere and honest people like him to serve the country. Might not be a bad idea for him to join a political party a few years (or whenever he is eligible to do so) after retirement

Not everyone is as stupid as Imran Khan to give up all luxurious retirement plans and join the dirty business of politics to 'fix the system', and get their mitti paleeed.
Gen. Raheel will still be an asset for Pak Fauj after retirement. Like most distinguished officers, I reckon he'll be involved in a lot of training and consultation programmes for the young batch of soldiers.
As with PPP - Zardari is just trolling PMLN and hoping to test the waters with establishment by issuing such statements.

And I believe that there should be a retirement age or maximum period of service limit for politicians as well say 25-30 years from the time of entry into politics or age 70 or a maximum of four 5-year terms as MNA, MPA or senator. It is not right that these leeches treat politics as a family business and remain a burden on us for an indefinite period of time.

^^He is a mental lunatic. He should be replaced by some sane person in PPP. Otherwise in next elections "Jiay Sindh" will take over in Sindh, no more selling of name of ZAB any more. Anyway Sindh does not need any national party any more to rule Sindh after PML(N) has set new rules for governing Pakistan.
Zardari and AH both b@st@4ds think that they can run their parties from Dubai and London are very much mistaken. MQM has suffered a lot on this account. Next will be PPP.

When he selected himself the President, some of the posters pointed out the very fact that he claimed insanity and being unfit to attend court hearing vis a vis looted wealth, but you were among the forerunners who couldn't take a breath without shielding him and the party, and anything he did. So you turned a blind eye to a "mental lunatic" as a the President and Party Chief for five wholesome years, but now that neither the party nor the man is anywhere to be seen, you're quick to throw him under the bus. Now that's what I call "paki mindset".

1 little statement causes so many talk shows, discussions etc in the country, as if all the other problems had been resolved.
