Zara's in Karachi

Hello fellow guppans,

My mom booked Zara’s for my wedding makeup. What are your thoughts?

I’m freaking out right now… Could really do with some good reviews of the place…

Although if it really sucks, I guess I have a few weeks to find a replacement.

Re: Zara's in Karachi

Had no one been to Zara's before? I really really would appreciate some advice!

Re: Zara's in Karachi

I have no personal experience with Zara's but I have seen pics of real brides (not models) who got their makeup done from there and they all looked good.

Re: Zara's in Karachi

Thanks Diamond! Do you have any links to these pictures? My friend got her Nikkah makeup done there and looked beautiful but I'd like to see some bridal pics if possible. Really appreciate your help!

Re: Zara's in Karachi

I have heard good things about Zara's.

Re: Zara's in Karachi

Thanks eastern! Does anyone know the dfference between regular and glamour makeup?

Re: Zara's in Karachi

my cousin got ready from zaras in khi and she looked amazing. also, her valima got postponed because of benazir bhuttos death; so she had to go to zaras as a last minute thing. they were nice enough to accommodate her even though they were overflowing with brides that day.

the makeup artist got her ready in half hour and she did an amazing job given the circumstances.

Re: Zara's in Karachi

Thanks so much! I'm feeling really good about this now :) Plus I'll be going in for a consultation in a couple of weeks. Hope fully I get one of the kickass makeup artists like the one your cousin had :)

Zara's in Karachi

My experience with Zara's is from 10 years ago, if it counts...anyway, I got party hair and makeup done for my hubby's best friend's valima (I accompanied the bride)....it was overflowing with brides and other engagement/party makeup/bridal party clients....total assembly line manner. The make up and hair was fine, but from what I saw and experienced, it was all pretty robotic, with every girl there getting the same hair and makeup style.

There was no one on one consultation or privacy.

Re: Zara's in Karachi

Uh oh ... I'm really hoping its not like that anymore. One of my mom's friends said that I can go check out the other brides getting ready there; probably a few weeks before my big day. I might even try to chat up a few brides (though they'll most likely be too stressed to talk to a random chick with bad urdu). Worth a try, don't you think?
