u r right…i agree with you that there is NO religious significance of 786 in Islam but what i meant was that it has a 'PERCEIVED" significance due to **ilm-e-aadaa **where every letter in a text has a number associated with it and 786 is the total number for all the letters used in the text “Bismillah ar raHmaan ir RaHeem”. this 786 has replaced ‘Bismillah…’ to avoid any be-Hurmati of the text if it finds it’s way in a letter discarded in a dustbin or worse.
