it is my understanding that each individual is responsible of paying own Zakah. it means, zakah on wife’s jewellery is not the responsibility of husband.

she is primarily responsible but her husband is also responsible if he potentially to drive gain/benefit from her asset.** If she has her own income and/or asset, she is responsible BUT if she doesn’t have any income and or asset and since the jewelry was gifted from parents at the time of marriage then the hsuband is responsible…**if NOT, then better to dispose off the asset.
