Hi all,

For Zakat purposes, can a mathematical whizz tell me the value of 20 tola Gold in £ or $ please?

By multiplying the total value of Gold with 0.025, you will get the value of Zakat......

Brilliant. So 20 tola roughly works out to 8.89 ounces!!!

You can find this value from the market of country where u live.

20 tolla Pakistani equal to 8.82 (8.818490487395104)

Look at the other thread in the Religion forum ... you cannot do a simple conversion of gold that has been weighed, you need to factor the grade of the gold. You need to weigh each category separately i.e. 12 karat has less gold in it that 22 karat for example. Convert this using the table in the other thread and work out zakat on the result.
