How many of you have got yours made?
I am being tempted to go for one but i am trying to avoid it because im sure its not allowed in Islam 
.

^yes it is astrology. natal chart = zaicha
ZK astrology and getting natal charts made isn't Islamically allowed.
Plus all these people just end up minting money from people and make what is just more or less 80% untrue/crap.

My dad got one made for me. Then we lost that and someone offered to make another one for me. I think during that time i was going through a religious phase and out of contempt of astrology i ripped the paper and threw it out. :D I regret it now cause it had some interesting stuff written about me.

How confident are the people (who create janam kundlis and the sort) about their own future?
The month/date/exact time you were born.....was determined by Allah.
The alignment of the planets/sun/moon/whatever.....were all created by Allah.
The lines on your palms and feet (in case you might also be contemplating a palm reading) also created by Allah.
Even if anyone has the remotest ability to gauage a person's future....that ability was given by Allah.
So, why not just ask HIM....who is the source of everything about all your concerns....as opposed to risking His disapproval by getting a birth chart made. According to a hadith...your duas are not accepted for 40 days if you visit a fortuneteller.....so what good will that do you....when it's said that the only thing that can change kismat...is one's duas? I don' t know how "wrong" it is to just read about personality descriptions...but anything involving the "future" seems more risky. I understand that it can be very tempting...I've been there myself....but I believe that such an act counts as shirk...which it like the mother of all sins...so it's better to avoid it.

I appreciate your detailed reply and on topic :k:.
However let me clear that i obviously was not gonna go to him thinking he could change my destiny or for that matter anybody at all can do it. Thanks to Allah, i am sane enough to know that nobody but Allah can change our destiny.
If i would have gone for it, it would have been only to see what my lines are saying as there are people who can read it. Its more or less like reading your horoscope though i do believe even this is not allowed in Islam because you are wanting to know about your future which may or may not be true as only Allah has the complete knowledge.
