I am sure many of us heard and we do use it in our food.
Whats the purpose of it besides giving a nice smell.

We use it in Biryani, meethey chawaal etc.

I have Irani collegue who cooks zafran with chicken all the time. She doesn't use much spices, just cooks chicken and then add tomato sauce and then lots of zafran. humm don't know who it would taste though.

its one of the most expensive spices in the world. i heard u should only use it in small quantities. it can be used to color lips red too. in india traditional households gift each other small quantities of the spice since its considered such a delicacy.

Saffron has some great medicinal value. It relieves stress and helps depression.
Someone advised my hubby to use saffron as he's been suffering from some nasty headache since teenage.....I was surprised rto see k it really HELPED!!
Then I googled it n read about it on quite a few sites n found out some real good benefits.

Its both saffron and zaffran. Us Paindus need no correction. We are perfect. Minus the long nasal hair.

Saffron is a spice and it comes from the crocus flower. It basically adds taste and colour to food.

Kashmiri people makes zafrani qahwa ,its very tasty and its very good for cold , and i think the best zafran in the world is from kashmir,
