Moosa (as) came with Torah…
he was accepted by his people, and Torah was the Book of Laws…
people followed Torah even after Moosa (as)…
then many years later, came Dawood (as)…
he, too came to bani israeel, but with a new book, Zaboor…
he was accepted by his people, and they followed Zaboor…
he wud read it to them, and we know many people gathered in his recitals…
and then Suleyman (as) followed him and i assume Zaboor was still the main Law… Q1: why was Torah ruled out then???
why was it not in the picture???
then many years on, Isa (as) comes…
he came out with Injeel…
people followed him, and accepted Injeel as the new Law…
some people stuck to Torah… Quran 5:46
*And We caused Jesus, son of Mary, to follow in their footsteps, confirming that which was (revealed) before him in the Torah, and We bestowed on him the Gospel wherein is guidance and a light, confirming that which was (revealed) before it in the Torah - a guidance and an admonition unto those who ward off (evil). *
this is an example…
and another place it says in the Quran about Isa (as)… Quran 3:48 And He will teach him the Scripture and wisdom, and the Torah and the Injeel Q2: why was Torah re-inforced???
whatever happened to Zaboor???
why was it forgotten???
why was Torah still held on to when Zaboor ha already been sent as a new law???
Or bhi “SAHIFAY” thay jin ka hum ko nahiN maloom, & Do u know anyone who’s the foloower of DAwood (AI) ?
But in a few books I read some lines or paragraphs from Paslam..(As they say it’s from that)
So As faar as I know, We don’t know who are those.
Quran maiN ik or qoomka naam bhi hay, “Saybeen” In ka ka naam ehl-e-kitab walooN kay sath ata hay(ghalbann)
Ya kon loog haiN? Kaam zaz kaam mujhay to nahiN maloom.
I was very cirrus, too about Paslam, I asked many pple but noone gave me any answer.:(
the followers of Dawood (as) were also the bani israel....
and they lie between the period of Moosa (as) and Isa (as)....
that is why it is surprising to see why Isa (as) is taught Torah but not Zaboor, as Zaboor was a newer book compared to Torah....
Quran 2:106
*Nothing of our revelation (even a single verse) do we abrogate or cause be forgotten, but we bring (in place) one better or the like thereof. Knowest thou not that Allah is Able to do all things? *
so if Dawood(as) was given Zaboor, after Torah, then its supposed to be better....
then why did Torah maintain itself up to Isa's(as) time while Zaboor just disappeared....
Sabeans were, as most ppl believe, ppl who worshipped the stars....
some say that they worshipped fire and other elements (air, water etc)....
belonging to what is currently Iran....
also they r said to be descendants of Hadan, brother of Ibrahim (as)....
Very little is known today of Zabur, or the revelations of Hazrat Dawood AS. In the Hebrew Bible there are many psalms (sacred songs or hymns) attributed to Hazrat Dawood which may constitute part of the Zabur.
So it is very hard to say that new teachings of Sharia was given to Hazrat Dawood. May be Zabur only contains the information specificaly directed toward people of that age (Hazrat Dawood's). And when that time passed, it was not needed any more. I believe that Hazrat Dawood followed the teachings contained in Torah.
