With pak in its name, this forum is nothing but terrible PR for Pakistan, and great PR for India. For every story involving abusive, illiterate, racist, backwards Pakistanis, there is someone’s personal experience praising the Indian counterparts.

Lady, India is what spawned the whole caste/zaat system in first place. How could you have never heard about Dalits? The untouchables? Wiping arses of the higher ranked castes is part of their job description. If anything, Pakistani caste system can’t hold a candle to the Indian caste system. From sudras to brahmins, with branched sub-castes. You can’t fault Indians for denying its existence, unlike our own wrist-slitting Pakistanis who won’t let a single opportunity of putting Pakistan down slip.

dude. relax. I’m well versed on the HINDU caste system in India. I was asking specifically about the muslims in India because I haven’t heard of such a thing. I love Pakistan, as anyone that knows me could tell you, and I wasn’t bashing it. I was just comparing the two. Being from Pakistan, I’ve heard a lot about families (including my own) taking zaat into consideration (whether someone is rajput, hashmi, qureshi, syed, etc) whereas my indian friends seem to be clueless if asked about their zaat/family. I didn’t know if it was a matter of ignorance on their part or just that muslims in India don’t have the same zaat-system that pakistanis do.

One of the most annoying part is how people that constantly profess their love for Pakistan have such rude/knee-jerk reactions to anyone that criticizes anything having to do with that country. Part of loving something has to do with accepting its faults and we’re all delusional if we think that Pakistan doesn’t have any. I wasn’t trying to compare which was better…I was merely asking if Indian muslims ascribe to the same belief in zaat that Pakistanis do.

Next time, try not to get your panties in a bunch before understanding what someone was asking.
