the only reason i mentioned it was because our castes are EXACTLY like hers and her boyfriends....

her bf is rajput so is the guy i will marry
shes jatt so am i

i only told her for comparisons sake. that our castes are EXACTLY the same.....and her bfs family dont have that thinking because they're rajput BUT because they are ignorant and uneducated.

i think if you talk to parents and make them understand properly....they will eventually agree..

running away is the easy way out but its wrong. u wont be happy in the longrun.

It's disguisting to see people in rural Sindh and Punjab take these things seriously.

I was watching that Thar documentory by a Punjabi Rajput girl on GEO TV and she was talking to this Sindhi Rajput villager and he said if a person from the Rajput community marries outside the tribe we cut all contact with them and she didn't confront him about his backward thinking but proudly proclaimed I am Rajput too but from Lahore and you're Rajput from Sindh.

I don’t think that they think that they are better then us…but they believe that our families wont match…and are afraid that our zaats will make a joke of us…dont ask me why…and my BF doesnt think like that and its hard 2 say that its over…

No he doesnt want to…but this a option they gave him…we’ll probably live seperatly…but i believe he’ll stay in touch wid his family.

And Impulse…he is not leaving his parents…how can he leave his parents? Thats stupid and i would never ask him that. He trying his best to keep us both happy…me and his parents…and the reasons his mom is givin not to marry me are not worth thinking according to him…he thinks that his parent are trying to emotional blackmail him…and the bubble just needs to pop…and make them realise…that there is no need for them 2 be afraid…we wont be rejected by the society or families.

And this started wid zaat…i just think its just an excuse…and that his mom wants him to marry in tha family. And u know how that goes…families get upset…djagreh shuru ho jaate hain…bladibladiblah!

this is bull****, even both castes are equal and in my family (we are rajputs) some of my cousins are married to Jatt girls. though jatt and rajputs had been fighting with eachother but status wise both castes are more or less on equal terms.

even some people who beleive in caste system, they may differ only if its two very different castes are invloved. ie, Rajput/Jatt marrying a Arain. that would be rare or very few. similar Rajput/Jatt to shaikh or similar castes.

so ask you boyfreind even on caste terms its not something a tabo in Pakistan. So go for it.

I wouldnt say that about any zaat. put it this way arain dont like jatt / rajputs, and rajputs/jatt dont like very much arain. Arain are far more greater in numbers compared to Rajputs and Jatts in Pakistan
