I’ve heard so many women complaining about their Mother-in-laws, in real life as well as here on this forum.

To my surprise, I actually met someone who has a khaufnaak father-in-law, who yells at her, keeps tabs on her comings and goings, she has to ask his permission before going anywhere and even cooking, and actually told her to shut her son (his grandson) in the bathroom cuz the little boy was being fussy with his food. :eek:

How does one deal with such a father-in-law, I wonder.

I know… she was actually crying when she told me… I was horrified, dil mein aaya usskay husband ko chaar thappar lagaaoon jaa kar, magar hum kiya kar saktay hain :bummer:

My wife's FIL is so zalim, if I miss reading Quran for him for few months, he comes to her dream and daanto her .. ok not daanto her but asks her to remind me ..

generally i hav seen most of the FIL r soo sweet , jst love DIL as their own daughterss same for the childrennn .. there r som special pieces too animals kinda though i hvnt seen thmmm :bummer:

Though my parents n their parents r alive still i recite around half siparah for my healthy wealthy n wise dad :)

My FIL was the harshest man I'd ever met in my life.
In his last few months and weeks he would chastise me like you wouldn't believe......for nothing more than being a few minutes late to his bedside because I was nursing a one year old yet......

I would give up a few years of my own life to have him back now.
May Allah forgive his sins and give him peace in Jannat forever ameen!

All kinds of people in world. I saw a FIL who looked at his Bahoo with bad nazar. Even spoke about her periods and asked her personal question about breast feeding. I was so pissed off. How could a FIL be like that?

Someone I knew was very strict not only with his son's children but also daughter's children and his own children. It's very common to have such FIL. He never took his own kids in his godhi , never looked at them with love and I was told that a million times by his own wife.

Some people think that they will be glorified by being strict with others. It makes them feel superior.

thats so disgusting...one of my friend was telling me that her FIL was talking about her period and stuff with her and she was really pissed.. i cant understand how can a FIL talk about such stuff

I am a FIL. My relationship with my DIL is just like my own daughter. We are more like friends than anything else.
