This is my first effort in years. I know it wouldn’t match up with some of the resident poets at Gupshup. However, it is an honest effort that I came up with today. Your thoughts and suggestions will be appreciated.
Tu paish karta hon, aapki ki khidmat mein…
*Zaahir hai ke humare haalaat nahi badlein gay
Yeh kothi, yeh dar-o-deevar nahi badlein gay
Raaston ke haqeeron ko hota nahi muyassar koi takht-o-taj
Lekin who barsoon ke khwab nahi badlein gay
Ishq-e-junoon mujhe seekhna hee nahi hai
Phir kyun rota hon, ke mere aashiq nahi badlein gay
Zehen tang, dil be-ikhtiyar, rooh bimaar
Ke Ragoon mein zeher ke alamaat tu nahi badlein gay
Kissi saahir ki dawaa ke muntazir hein shayad
Magar sukoon-e-qalb ke ilaaj tu nahi badlein gay
Mujhe rouk sakta nahi ab koi duub jane se
Buhut dour chale aye hein woh naakhuda tu nahi badlein gay
Apnay hee darbar mein ho gaye hein ghulami ke hum qayal
Ab bhi nahi badlay ‘Ahmed’ tu phir kab badlein gey*
Very well done Ahmed.. For the first effort, it’s pretty amazing.. I see a good poet in disguise… Keep practising as I am doing it myself … You will be doing wonders if you will continue
Thank you guys, the encouragement will help strengthen my resolve to write more. I think more then anything else, for me, it is the 'input' received through various sources like media, people etc., that is 'outputted' in this fashion.
