Looks like u want to divert attention from Mush & MQM falling credibility.. its time to focus how Mush is defending MQM while whole nation is asking for its ban...
degas, can you also tell me the winning numbers for the mega millions lotto?
for god's sake, there are enough threads about musharraf and MQm, unless you think that this thread would just overshadow everything else. sheesh. those threads can continue unabated. this has nothing to do with that.
oh ok if u are calling God .. the family do have a tragic history starting with hanging of ZAB - subsequent tactics by military regime made it more fragmented.. young lads angry with situation and had issues with situation at hand.. BB had her troubled life battling with establishment.. masses in Pakistan still love them (inspite of their low IQ as u call them) .. elite including u with higher intellect hates them .. and opt for sophisticated majlis stars like Altaf
so ur so naive about hundreds of threads we have on 1971.. why ur bringing all those again.. just go back on those threads and if u have anything new cropped up.. then we can discuss..
I am trying to discuss the bhutto family dynamics. when teh entire murtaza bhutto drama happened, I was not into politics at all, and really did not read a whole lot about what happened there.
the threads aout 1971 do not talk about the whole shahee bhutto group phenomenon or how murtaza died. etc.
now for shanawaz, again, just a few headlines and nothing more. So its trying to understand a little bit more about the players in the family and some of the big events. who was behind it..theories,..why etc. Why would Murtaza oppose BB, was it al for show or was it a serious rift.
we can either discuss it, or choose to paint it as an attempt to diver attention from Musharraf's crises. As if my one thread is going to change all threads on this forum and the scores of articles being written by national and international publications.
If you were here, its a little bit of nostalgia, I recently asked about the current whereabouts of sahebzada yaqoub khan and pir pagara etc.
which reminds me whatever happend to Jatoi.
anyways, so shall we continue?
maybe we need to have a pak history section where such things can be discussed, its okay if you do not want to talk about it. Hopefully other people have some insights.
Sanam Bhutto is another daughter of ZAB?
Also, I believe ZAB had a second wife who lived mainly in London? Don't know what happened to her, or whether she bore him any children?
thats the sindhi wife right? I dunno I heard stuff about it but chalked it up as rumours. It was said that she was to dehati to be a major politicians wife and thus always kept in shadows, and that wedding was more for land and fuedal stuff.
I tend to not believe such stuff because it seems a little far fetched.
Shirin Ameer Begum, one of the two widows of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, died on Sunday morning in Larkana of a heart attack. She was buried the same evening in the family graveyard of Ghari Khuda Buksh*
Sanam is their real sister. lives in London some where.
Her husband tried to play some role in politics. he spent a lot of time with Asif zardari too but then something must have happened becasue never heard of them afterwards...

now i know who writes the so called "bayaaans" (interviews) of MMA and Nawaz Shareef :)
The younger sister of former Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto, has filed a court case in a bid to resolve a dispute over the distribution of the assets of their late father, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
Sanam Bhutto, who lives in the UK, has filed the case in Karachi through her lawyer. She has asked the court to order the distribution of their father’s vast assets and property between his widow, Nusrat Bhutto, two daughters and the children of his two murdered sons.
The Bhutto family is not new to political controversies.
But the present dispute has little to do with politics.
It is about the several million dollars worth of property and assets that are presently in possession of Ghinwa Bhutto, the Lebanese-born widow of Benazir’s slain brother, Murtaza.
Dispute
These include the late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s three palatial houses, a private library and several precious antiques.
Since Murtaza Bhutto’s death in a controversial police encounter in 1996, these assets have remained with his widow, who has accused Benazir Bhutto’s husband over the alleged murder.
After having failed to work out a settlement within the family, Benazir’s younger sister Sanam has now gone to the court seeking a judicious distribution of all of Mr Bhutto’s property.
She has pleaded that since their father did not leave behind a formal will, the property and other assets should be distributed among his legal heirs in accordance with Islamic law.
The court will take up the case in the second week of May for preliminary hearing.
Shahnawaz poisoned, Murtaza shot dead infront of his own house and since then BB out of power. Reminds me of BB's famous words "Kill a Bhutto to get a Bhutto" which ultimately became a truth. Shahnawaz and Murtaza were never liked by the establishment of Pakistan (read army here). I wont say they killed them. They just died!
Benazir could not win over the army that Murtaza was no evil as presumed by the later, hence advised him to stay away which he did not pay heed to. Frustrated in exile he chose to come back and the Federalist BB was in a fix how to deal with the situation so the barrier between the two. Who killed Murtaza is a debatable question. So far the courts have been unable to decide the case since a decade now. Hum kia kuch kah sakte hain!
for shahnawaz its all very vague, I dont think there were any suspects named except maybe his wife.
Wolpert in his "Zulfi Bhutto of Pakistan" refers to the weddings of the two brothers with Pathan girls and hints at a certain conspiracy. Have a look at that book for your personal review.
