ZA Bhutto

I guess the biggest mistake he made was getting Zia up there. Zia sold out to the americans, got Bhutto out when the time was bad for ZAB. And then Zia would solemnly pledge to the nation about holding fresh elections and do what he does best, hang on to the seat and put the country on self destruct.

No yara, ZAB's biggest mistake was '71 debacle. There is no doubt that ZAB was screwed royally by Zia, but think of how Zia met his fate? In the end, all criminals get retribution from Allah.

I for one am glad we had a leader like him. He was the one who brought us out of the 71 debacle. During the 71 debacle, he was just a contestant for the PM seat, not the PM. Again, read ehsan's post. Most people who witnessed that era spoke highly of how ZAB got us through that tuamaltic period. What do we have left now, a spineless leader being operated by the same people whom ZAB stood up against. ZAB proves that this country has the talent to produce excellent politicians, unlike the crooks we have running the so called parliament right now, misusing the constituition that ZAB gave this nation.
