Jadeja was probably not scheming to sabotage Dhoni’s captaincy to get it for himself. Dhoni can count on him at least for that. Yuvraj Singh, like Gambhir and Sehwag before him, wants the captaincy for himself. He probably has 1 or 2 good years ahead of him to get there. Notice the timing of the attack. Just after Dhoni declares he is not retiring from ODIs and may even play in 2019. Which means, Yuvraj will not be able to become the captain; heck he might not even make it to the team.
