You also need captian’s confidence to be in the team. And it did pay off for Dhoni with Rohit & Dhawan. Jadeja, not so much, but still the team made it to Semi finals, that was more than I expected after the dismal series that preceded the world cup.

Dhawan paid off; Rohit not so much. And Jadeja was abysmal but was still played in all games. So much for captain’s confidence !
