They changed the name for some reason, now its called Mera naam hai Yusuf. Mehreen Jabbar’s directing and I’m excited because it’ll be posted in HD 
Aplus has a channel on dailymotion and they do pretty good job in uploading regularly.

I love the OST of this drama, but as its a khalil-ur-rehman drama it may turn out to be long and boring like sadkay tumhare

oh i love the song for this one too, looking frwd to the drama. I did love pyare afzal but not sadqay at all! so lets see... director is perfect though and so is cast!

It does remind me alot of pyare afzal from the dialogues, but lets see. I absolutely LOVE the acting of the father of zulekha lol i loved him in zindagi gulzar hai too, he is amazing.

Khalil ur rehman is famous for his dialogues and not particularly with strong story. He has not changed a bit since
Toba tek singh, landa bazar etc. Boota from toba tek singh is his best till now. Pyare afzal started and showed some story in start but then again failed to live its reputations and was streached for no reason.
People were waiting for this serial because of Mehreen Jabbar and not for KRK.

Watched the first episode. It was okay and wonder which idiot came up with that stupid ending.

Episode 2. Started slow, picked up in middle then went straight down afterwards. I want more Imran Abbas. Not this stupid crap like his friends wife.

Started watching this drama. The story seems ok, but the dialogues are better. I guess dialogues are Khalil ur rehman's forte. Anyhow im gonna keep watching it.........until they start to stretch it like a gum....... but then its airing on A-plus, relatively an unknown channel, so they might not stretch it at all....who knows.

Ah, thanks for clearing it up. I'm not a fan of idea though. The girl, zuleha (?), is already facing enough problems. They're trying to make it much more complicated for some reason.

I am only watching it for MJ's direction which is very urban, organic and cinematic.
but the story is ghisi pitti, similar to payray afzal. Only difference might be afzal was a ghunda, whereas yousuf is a singer.
why khalil-ur-rehman's heroine have a thing for ghunday...I believe these days girls go for nerds.
and how come father of a hero is very open-minded and interested in their son's love affair?

The name was changed because of some sick minded mullas who could took the wrong perception from Zulekha Bina Yousuf and could think that these characters are the new forms of the love between Hazrat Yousuf (A.S) and his wife Zulekha. That’s why Mehreen decided to change the name

By the way, the drama has caught its pace and going good. The person who plays the role of Daajee (friend of Imran Abbas) is Ali Sheikh who is my acting teacher.
