This is an interview from earlier this year. After reading the “Is Music Haraam” thread in the religion section, I thought this might be interesting to post. The interview covers a lot of ground in terms of Yusuf’s viewpoints on music. I’m just glad to see him pick up his instrument again. By the way, did any of you hear “Indian Ocean”, the song he recorded shortly after the Tsunami? Not a bad song, but not the best. However, it’s good to hear the sound of instruments again in his music, rather than just vocals as in his religious recordings. Enjoy
