hum ne kiya hai khoob ada dosti ka huq
hum unko tham kar giray aur wo sambhal gaye
phir hum-safar se faaslay barhtay rahay amal
ankhoN ke jheel apnay hi aNsoo maiN dhul gaye
Oh Gosh! Mujhey shaq tha ke do log hi meri chori pakarr saktey heiN, mera aadha shaq to sahi nikla You know sab hi log to taqreeban naey heiN yahaN, to socha chalo faeda utthaaya jaaey…
**haalaat ki dhoop zaraa si deir ko teiz kya hui
jitney wafaa ke peikar they saarey pighal gaey
wafaaoN ke rang shabnam ke qatroN ney dho deeye
mohabbat ke phool jazboN ki ‘shiddat’ sey jal gaey**
Beautiful… I can certainly relate many things to the reality
nice way of translating “Nafrat” to “jazboN kee Shiddat” – if that is what you meant but if that’s not what you meant, then, don’t tell me… thoRaa khush honaY daY denaa
Anwaar, Thanx for liking it :). I tried to be very sarcastic in this ghazal. You will find this thing throughout the ghazal, especially in the second sheir. In third shier, promises did not survive a night and decisions were unmade before even taking shape. WafaaoN ke rang itney bhi pakkey nahi nikley ke shabnam ke qatroN ka muqaabla kar sakeiN. jazboN ki 'shiddat' bhi isi pas-e-manzar meiN istimaal huwa huwa. Like hug is ok, but hugging too tightly makes the other faint. Shiddat in quotes was supposed to say that emotions were so intense that they kill the very relation which was the base of everything. But in a way, you can say it nafrat :)
