Malik further said that those who had been pressing him to unblock the site should be happy now.
The minister hailed Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) for blocking anti-Islamic material.
“PTA is finalizing negotiations for acquiring powerful firewall software to totally block pornographic and blasphemous material,” he said.

Why is this such a big deal? Is the nation collectively glued to Youtube all the time. I imagine they would be sad if Star or Zee was blocked, but youtube? Come on now.
I guess people were yearning for those mujra videos.

Lol true. It’s like the people who go out of their way to bash something like gay marriage. I mean if you disagree with it, state your opinion and move on. The ones who try to start ish every chance they get must secretly be gay and probably feel the need to prove their heterosexuality to themselves.

I have seen some. They don’t appear to be targeted at the socio-economic class I belong to. I think I need to drive a rickshaw or a truck to enjoy them better.

I wish I could look up statistics of videos viewed in Pakistan on youtube. I wonder what those guys are watching on youtube that’s so in demand. Its mostly Cat videos and teenage girls doing make up there. There is literally nothing of importance on youtube. I’d be angry if PTV was blocked. Come on man I need my 9:00PM news. That’s how I time all my watches.

right…because youtube provides so much porn and it’s not accessible in any other way
I just cannot believe these people focus their time on blocking harmless websites…when there’s so much else to worry about! Can’t believe these are the issues the government is worried about.
