He was the wicket keeper, i think couple of years back he was in news for blaming Imran Khan for ruining his career.

Yes, you are right, he came in when Paksitan needing 45 to win were something like 16/5. I cant remember the exact details. He took Pakistan to victory.
He was not a very good wicketkeeper. Watched him at Melbourne palying against India in the mini world cup in March 1985. Dropped some cruical catches off Imran's bowling.
^^ yep i kindaa remember couple of other events from that series....Wasim raja scored his last century i think at Fasialabad....I had a picture of him from that innings playing his famous cover drive...david Gawor Scored alot of runs...English spinner Nick Kook took eleven wikets in one the tests..and our sarfraz nawaz hit a score of 90 at # 10 or 11. it was the series where Mr Bothem Made his famous remark about Pakistan.

Come to think of it imran was ruthless. A few dropped catches and an early bus to your home town. tata forever?!! 
Actually I heard an interview by Dalpit once. He said he was dropeed beacause he had a connection with some political rivals of Imran's ( I think it was the Muhammad family or maybe Miandad). He said he was honoured to play for Pakistan and he did'nt think being dropped had to do with his religion. I don't know if anybody mentioned this but I think he is Kaneria's cousin or uncle or something like that.
