Is this too rude to say to a rishta.. or any guy/girl in general?

I always assumed it was quite inoffensive..

Maybe a variant such as "I don't find us to be compatible" or "I don't feel a connection or a chemistry" might be seen as less offensive.

We can say this to a third party like our parents about a potential rishta that he/ she is not my type. But it would not be good to say this to the girl/ guy and the variants which redvelvet mentioned seem to be better.

Instead of saying 'you are not my type', perhaps it would be easier for the person to take it if you say ' I am not your type' :)
