On Gupshup and I am sure any forum.. there are groups of people (not naming any names) who come across as very perfect (Be that in their Lifestyle/Religion/Politics/Morals/Education/Family/ Wedded life)
Now I am far from perfect and there was a time when I thought I was GOD’s GIFT to the Pakistani Society in my area… A few Dhaka’s on route to my 26th Year made me realise “without putting myself down” I ain’t that much …
E.g. At the start of Uni, I gave a very strong lecture to now my beloved friends about people having GF’s and BF’s, but then meeting select people who were typical “perfect” mentality but horrid people and some very beautiful human beings led me to realise that all these things that we believe we are perfect at mean jack !!! if we don’t have a good heart.
A person who puts a smile on someones face, even if you don’t know them very well is way better a person in my eyes than any perfect little miss who has never been to a night club, never worn a short skirt in her life and who has never had a maccy D’s or the Mr “I fear ALLAH” therefore I have a right to call any girl who speaks to another man a “slapper”. So you perfecto’s out there need to take a break and have a kitkat as you aren’t perfect and never will be as no human being is perfect.. ONLY ALLAH JI is perfect.
Typical girl that i am I have written an essay when all I needed was a few lines.. so Moral of the story is …
There’s nothing wrong in being imperfect, there’s nothing wrong in making mistakes… The most important thing is that you try to make yourself a better person and learn from the mistakes you do make.

Well, people may not be perfect, but they have every right to try and be perfect...If someone doesn't wish to wear a short skirt or go to a night club because they wish to be perfect, well, it makes them closer to perfection of nopt outright...
One doesn't sit on a pile of dung heap if one's foot accidentaly steps into it...You avoid it and stop others from stepping into it too...

sum 1 dusnt like a certain thing they dont have to do it. but each person has their own life to live and they will be judged for THEIR actions not n e body elses.
so like a friend said to me just today, you dont need to care too much about what sum 1 is doing, i asked y not, and the reply i got is you cant change people.

Lajawab!!!! caaalm down caaaaalmmm down.. I don't wear short skirts and I don't eat maccy d's but that doesn't make me any better than a friend of mine who eats maccy d's wears a short skirt and saves a girls life by persuading her not to commit suicide.
Everyone should strive for perfection.. and everyone should strive to become a better person.. no one will ever become perfect.. cos we are HUMAN.... What you can't do is think that you are perfect and that you have a right to judge another person by what they do..

The things you mentioed are just certain things that a person is doing right and are all good things in their own right. We could easily replace the never been to night clubs, don't eat at McDonald's with giving money in charity and volunteering for instance. Just because a person does somethings right doesn't necessarily mean that they will do everything right, and on the other hand it doesn't mean that they won't also do other things right too.
For instance, a girl can be such that she has never been to a night club and doesn't wear short skirts, doesn't eat at McDonald's AND she has good manners as well.

Hey TG: I agree with you in essence .. I sometimes justify not wearing a head scarf with the point "Ha ! But what's the point of wearing a headscarf just to please society" but then I think Wait a minute.. Why can't I be "Nuzzie and a wear a headscarf".. I'm not losing my respect by wearing a headscarf but guess what I still don't wear a headscarf for my own selfish reasons..and I want to take the rap for that "If ALLAH wishes to" I don't believe other people should judge me and label me as a bad person due to their preconceived ideas....
Guess what i am trying to say is that just because people don't do everything right doesn't mean that they should be judged..
The heart of a person is where most of the evidence lies of how good a person is and I guess not manny people get to see a persons heart..
I am not perfect and it narks me when goody two shoes can judge someone so badly because of a few "negatives"... Hypocrisy .. I hate hypocrisy..

I just mentioned the eating at McDonald's because the topic starter did. My assumption was that the topic starter was implying the foods that contain meat. Maybe I should have explicitly mentioned it. My mistake.
