sadly in an ideal romantic pre-shadi’s preconceived notions fall only the husband cooking something yummy and both the hubs and wife eating a candle lit dinner.

But behind the scene is a whole lot of trash, dirty dishes piled up in the sink and all the masalas misplaced when a man cooks usually

I guess I too am one of the lucky ones, alhamdulillah! My Husband cooks quite well and has cooked for the whole family loads of times. I remember, a few days before we were due to get married, I was at his house with my family and some ladies were cooking in the kitchen. I went into the kitchen for something and there was my husband doing the cooking and telling the ladies how it should be done, lol.. One of the women turned to me and said something like “He will make you some lovely andiyaan (curries)”…

ummm whats teh big deal if he can cook?

now if he can clean the toilet, do the dishes adn take out the trash and all that without complaint…then he’s a keeper :jano:

My BIL, (both my husbands brother and my sisters husband) does ALL this (except the dishes) and he will even move all the furniture and hoover behind the sofas, lol!..

Both of them are very helpful and not shy of hard work as that is how they have been raised, m’A..!
