these kind of people at a social gathering:
1- The overly talkative ones
2- The quiet ones, just looking around but not speaking much
3- Someone’s kid who keeps touching your mobile or keys and other stuff

Re: Your way of dealing with :
Number 1: That’s me.
Inherited this from my dad. And my son is pretty much carrying on with the tradition. ![]()
Number 2: I do try to involve them into the conversation by directly addressing them. But I don’t force it.
Number 3: Even my kids are not allowed to touch my mobile phone. Unless I instruct them to do so. Doosron ke bache to duur ki baat. ![]()
Re: Your way of dealing with :
1- listen to them
2- I am this kind, that is why it’s good to listen to the talkative ones instead of feeling awkward.
3- keep my things away from the kids. Keep my stuff in my bag.
Re: Your way of dealing with :
I like such people.
1- you learn about new things and more about them when they are talkative
2- it feels easier to talk for a quiet person when he /she is being addressed and don’t feel awkward once they’ve warmed up.
3- Being firm is good.
Re: Your way of dealing with :
Listens and response.
Starts interesting topics with them, and they mostly listens.
Just says “OYE” with my eyeballs out of skull ;)

Re: Your way of dealing with :
1-Talk to them if I have something to add to the conversation otherwise let them do the talking.
2-Talk to them as long it isn’t getting boring for either of us
3-Keep my stuff out of their reach (e.g. pocket)

Re: Your way of dealing with :
We had the cutest Sikh kids in our showhome yesterday, the handsome couple were so polite and kept referring to me as sir, they kept talking to each other in Punjabi not realizing I am desi background. Sometimes I let them talk to find out what they are thinking. His cutest 2 yr old was the most innocent looking boy, they named him Iman and this lil boy was naughty beyond belief, getting in drawers, stationary etc. I didnt really say anything. It is really hard to deal with this situation

Kia karoon yaara cant bear being quiet !
Re: Your way of dealing with :
It’s ok to not be quite, but to get irritated by the ones who are? They may be feeling out of place, have difficulty socializing, may not be the type who are into small talk and so on . They are not necessarily snobby. They aren’t even invading your personal space ![]()
Moreover, if everybody was talkative, there won’t be anyone left to listen.
Re: Your way of dealing with :
Yup , point noted, Me Lord . Waise , its just very hard to be around the quiet ones coz one just doesnt know how receptive the other person is and if its worth it to start a convo . This is tricky business , I tell you !
